Wonderful work here, Ralph. The attention to detail is outstanding. I will use some of your reviews to select sites for our 16 week trip clockwise around the border states of the union. I too am a musician and play acoustic bass in some BG bands along with my work in Compline and a Faux Freshman quartet.

can't believe that another summer has come and gone!thanks for all the info and pictures that you posted, I will check in from time to see how you are doing.

We had to cancel our fall trip to the coast do to my wife's mother had a stroke three weeks ago and passed away two weeks later. We hope to go to the coast in a week or so as my wife needs some rest.

Hi Ralph: Welcome back to CA! My wife and I spent August with friends camping and touring British Columbia. Went sight seeing, salmon fishing, rode ferries on the inlets, camped in their Provincial Parks, and a couple of RV parks when we needed hookups. Rode the mail boat out of Port Alberni to another town, and back. We were treated to some impromptu whale watching as some humpbacks decided to perform by the boat! Since we got back home, we have gone to Morro Bay for a few days, a town we love. You'll be happy to hear that SLO is still there and awaits you. We are leaving tomorrow AM to spend a couple days at the Bristlecone Pine Forest outside Big Pine. Maybe see you on the 395?

Ralph, your website intrigues us. We are new to truck camping (new to any kind of camping) and learned of your travels through Truck Camper Magazine. As we plan our trips, we are curious to know how you plan your trips. Do you have an itinerary before you leave home; do you know ahead of time where you will stop or do you just come up on sites that you like; how many miles do you typically travel in a day. It's been hot here and several fires in Ca.& Oregon has been giving us some smoky days at times. We have been real busy this summer but getting ready to head to the coast after labor Day and the kids will be back in school.

Hello Ralph, This is the first time I have looked at your blog.It is very well done. As an old friend I am proud of you. I won't give you a hard time anymore about your travels even though I miss you when you are gone. I look foreword to your return so we can play music together again. Make sure you stay safe and don't try to pet the "Bears". Be sure to tell Bruce hello for me when you see him in Billings.
