Ralph, just found your blog and can't wait to dive in. Next May I'll be making a lot of your route in reverse on my blow-out retirement trip from Tacoma, WA to San Diego, CA. Been there lots on the 5, but this time I'm taking secondary roads and a couple of months. Only difference is I'm towing a 19' tt behind my F-150. I can hardly wait and will spend the next few months devouring your info. Thanks and Happy Trails. Kelly

We were following the same yellow lines yesterday afternoon. Mine was the Honda Element covered with progressive bumper stickers. We both turned into Minam area but continued on to Joseph for music when I didn't locate friends in Minam.

Have you done any of your performances at either of the Oregon Trail historic sites near La Grande? Outside Baker and then west of La Grande.

Sounds as if you have hit on a good life. I'm tied to a small farm but was getting away for two days of mountain air and music.

Happy trails. mary

HI! Ralph,
I see that you have been enjoying the bluegrass festivals, and getting to some different campgrounds.
I have been real busy around here and had to go to Roseburg to my sisters house to do some repairs for her, she is by her self and 80 so I need to help her out when I can.
We are hoping to go to the coast in mid July and get some good sea food ,do some exploring and kicking back.
Ralph, it's getting hot out their so go find a good cool spot and kick back. Jay :!sun:

Hi Ralph...hope you have a good summer. Will check in on your blog from time to time. Enjoy reading it. I keep telling myself that one of these summers I'm going to get to some of the campgrounds you post, but so far haven't made it.

Have a blast on the new 2013 adventure,I'll be following your progress from time to time. Must admit I wish I was doing the same sorta stuff. Chevy 2500 4x4 crew cab and a Lance 855 sitting on her. She has been some darn cool places and love her to death. She is in my driveway all ready to go,just finding time is in my way. So,I'll check in on Ramblin Ralph collecting ideas and being jealous as you explore. Have a great time. When you pass through the mountains east of Chico Email me and perhaps I can spill the beans on some of my discoveries. Thanks for your posts. Ty

HI Ralph,
I see that you are getting ready for your 2013 trips, I will be checking in to see were you are at and hope to get a report on the fishing.

We started our 2013 trips by going to Mesa Verde NP., took 3 weeks and went by the way of NV,& UT.Saw a lot of wildlife and some good country. We did 3,000 miles and most of it by back roads only about 250 miles of interstate Hwy.
